Chess, with the rules pulled apart and put back together however you like.

Dark Atomic Antichess is three chess variants you can switch on and off separately, so you get eight games in one: from plain chess up to the full house the title promises.

The three switches

๐Ÿ’ฅ Atomic: every capture explodes. A capture sets off a 3ร—3 blast that destroys the capturing piece, the captured piece and every piece next to them (pawns survive a blast unless they're one of the two). Blow up the enemy king directly, or by capturing next to it.

๐Ÿ”„ Antichess: lose everything to win. If you can capture, you must. The king is just another piece, with no check and no checkmate. Run out of pieces, or out of legal moves, and you've won.

๐ŸŒ‘ Dark: you only see what your pieces cover. Each of your pieces lights up its own square and the squares it attacks; the rest is fog. Enemy pieces you've spotted stay on the board as fading ghosts, showing where they were.

Stack them: in Dark Atomic, a piece can vanish in a blast you never saw coming. In Atomic Antichess, one capture can wipe out three of your own pieces, which is exactly what you want.
